Birth Presence is moving to Seattle, WA

We are completing our practice and classes here in December and will begin to offer classes in Seattle, March 2010.

Pre-Natal Yoga Practice (Pregnancy Yoga)

Yoga is an excellent way to "train" for the adventure of labor and motherhood.

Practice with us helps you slow down, get out of your mind (and organically and mindfully into your body) so that you are able to connect with Self and Your Baby.

There are many benefits in attending our prenatal yoga class during your pregnancy. Benefits are far beyond what you can receive in a regular yoga class.

In our classes we teach yoga exercises that help prepare you for labor, delivery and motherhood as well as staying present, regardless of the situation.

Regular attendance assures that you will consistently practice these exercises for greater benefits and you will know what to do when your Blessed Day arrives. read more >

 

Restorative Yoga (Excellent for Grounding, To Eliminate Toxins and Allow Deep Relaxation for New and Expectant Moms)

Restorative Yoga allows pregnant women / expectant moms to prepare for their babes on a deeper level and helps new moms to re-connect to and get centered no matter where she may be on her journey into motherhood.

Our Restorative Yoga practice balances your energetic, physical and emotional bodies offering an opportunity to slow down and be still.

This is a deep meditative pratice encompassing relaxation poses and counter-poses that allow the body to replenish depleted energies.

As women with busy lives, this 90 minute practice affords us a chance to breathe deeply and be One with Baby. 

Benefits include an elevated sense of well-being, restoring balance to those feeling overwhelmed, giving energy to those who do too much and offering peace and centering to those who need it.  read more >

 

Mommy and Me Yoga (Yoga for the Post-Partum Period)

PLEASE NOTE: Due to scheduling conflicts, Mom & Baby Yoga will commence in the Fall. As of this notice, we have ceased classes for the summer.

At this time, we are only offering private sessions for individual moms with pre-crawling children (or to private groups).

If you are interested in being notified when this class begins in the fall, or interested in a private session please email us.



Our Birth Presence Mommy & Baby Postpartum Yoga Class welcomes you on the other side of birth.

This class focuses on breathing techniques and asanas (postures) for Mom - a chance to reconnect and balance after giving birth. As well, babies will be utilized as weights for strengthening. Mommy & Baby Postpartum Yoga at Birth Presence is a fun and relaxing way to interact with, celebrate, stretch, move, dance and sing with Baby.

Coming to class will allow you to gradually recuperate and tone after birth, and strengthen and stretch your upper body for nursing, lifting and carrying baby.

Mommy & Baby Yoga is structured to allow you time to bond with your Baby while regaining your inner balance. read more >
